PIVOTLOC FALL PROTECTION LADDERS KEEPS THE HULL TIDAL SURGE BARRIER SAFE AND SECURE AT ALL TIMES
The Hull Tidal Surge Barrier was built in 1980 at the confluence of the River Hull and the Humber Estuary and successfully protects over 10,000 properties from flooding. The Environment Agency has been carrying out regular refurbishment and maintenance of the 202 tonne steel barrier since 1996.
Amco Engineering has been contracted by the Agency to carry out vital maintenance work to the lighting system which controls the shipping traffic. Because the area around the lights is also accessible to the general public, it is crucial that workers have safe, secure and controlled access at all times.
Amco chose Safety at Height Limited to supply the PivotLoc Fall Protection Ladder System.
The unique design of PivotLoc provides a safe and secure solution which enables the ladders to be locked away in a closed position when not in use.
